UFV’s Absolute Style offers backstage view of fashion industry

Researching trends, preparing a collection, and styling models are all a part of UFV’s annual runway show, Absolute Style. The one-day event highlights the work of the Fashion Design program and its grad students, while providing them with real-world fashion industry experience. BCIT named an ACI Outstanding University

BCIT has been named an American Concrete Institute (ACI) Outstanding University for 2011. The ACI Award for University Student Activities was announced during ACI’s 2012 spring convention at the Opening Session and Annual Awards Program in Texas. The ACI Award was initiated to recognize post-secondary institutions that have participated in ACI programs. In the past, BCIT Civil Engineering students have attended ACI conferences and competed in ACI events such as the concrete bowling ball competition.

Culinary superstars bring medals home to VIU

Vancouver Island University Culinary Arts students have done it again! They won several medals, including grand gold, grand silver and grand bronze, at the 16th annual BC Chefs Hot Competition Live at the Vancouver convention centre as part of the BC Foodservice Expo.
