February 10, 2015 – Merritt, British Columbia – Western Economic Diversification Canada

Today, at the Nicola Valley Institute of Technology (NVIT), Dan Albas, Member of Parliament for Okanagan—Coquihalla, on behalf of the Honourable Michelle Rempel, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, announced over $1.75 million in funding to support training for skilled trades.

This investment, provided through the Western Diversification Program, will be used by NVIT to purchase a mobile trailer used to deliver the Bridging to Trades program in Aboriginal communities across British Columbia, and to purchase related equipment and software used to equip the trailer and the school’s Merritt campus.  Read more….
